By Local Government, For Local Government

Waste Expo Australia welcomes all local government personnel in the industry to explore and participate in some of the features specifically curated for you. With nearly 20 sessions designed with your specific learning needs in mind, in addition to the new Government Lounge, we hope you gain enough out of attending the event to take back to your office.

Waste Expo Australia will feature for the first time a Government Lounge featuring Sustainability Victoria, Recycling Victoria, and EPA Victoria. Located on the exhibition floor, this new addition will be a hub for discussions and insights into the future of waste management and sustainability in Victoria.

Government Lounge

Sustainability Victoria

Sustainability Victoria’s new 3-year strategic plan outlines priorities for accelerating Victoria’s transition to a circular, climate resilient clean economy. Come and speak with SV behaviour change and circular economy experts about building the case for circularity in Victoria, closing the loop between recycling, design and manufacturing and driving the uptake of key circular behaviours in our communities.

Recycling Victoria

Recycling Victoria is key to building a sustainable and thriving circular economy through leadership and oversight of waste, recycling and resource recovery services.

We work to strengthen Victoria's waste, recycling and resource recovery system by implementing reforms to build capacity, resilience and reliability in the sector.

Our focus is on statewide market growth and stabilisation through a combination of evidence, strategy and regulation, in partnership with state and local government, industry and the community.

Join us in the Government Lounge to find out more about how we are taking a streamlined and integrated approach to address waste and recycling challenges.

EPA Victoria

Waste is a complex challenge, and everyone has a part to play in the solution. Visit EPA Victoria in the government lounge to learn about our priorities and ask our experts about what you need to know in 2024-25.
